Meet Sula Bassana, the Musical Alias of Dave Schmidt
Sula Bassana is the artistic moniker of multi-instrumentalist Dave Schmidt, known for his work in Zone Six, Interkosmos, and Die Raumpatrouille. He has also played with Electric Moon, Psychedelic Monsterjam, Liquid Visions, Krautzone, Weltraumstaunen, Growing Seeds, and Südstern 44, among others.

This album features tracks recorded predominantly between 2013 and 2018, completed only in recent years. While his last few albums leaned more towards electronic sounds, this release marks a return to a rockier style, reminiscent of albums like *Dreamer*, *The Night*, *Dark Days*, and *Live At Roadburn 2014*.

Dave’s vocals appear on the first two tracks, a rare treat, adding a distinctive rock edge to these songs. The title track takes a different direction with an almost jazzy, melodic vibe, while „Wormhole“ offers a cosmic journey centered around a mesmerizing synthesizer arpeggio. The album concludes with „Mellotraum,“ the oldest track, spontaneously recorded in 2013 upon the arrival of Dave’s Mellotron (4000d).

Every track is composed, recorded, produced, and mixed by Sula Bassana (Dave Schmidt) in the Amoeba sound room, showcasing his talents on guitar, bass, drums, synthesizer, organ, Mellotron, and electric sitar. The album has been expertly mastered by Krautrock legend Eroc.

The LP is presented in a gatefold sleeve and includes a download code.
